What are Emoji versions?
A version records when an emoji character or complete sequence was first defined by Unicode Emoji. These pages show additions, not every emoji available by that date.
Sequence membership matters. A flag, skin-tone form or ZWJ emoji can be newer than the individual code points used to construct it, so EmojiMint reads the official marker for the complete record.

Emoji 17.0 is the current version in EmojiMint's pinned Unicode dataset. It was released in September 2025.
Starting with Version 11.0, Unicode synchronized the Emoji repertoire version number with the Unicode Standard. There were no normal Emoji 6.0 through 10.0 releases, so this directory does not invent pages for them.
Not always. Earlier Emoji releases could share a Unicode version or use a different number. From Emoji 11.0 onward, the repertoire versions are synchronized.

Older emoji remain part of the standard. A device's design and support depend on its software, but an older release is not deprecated simply because a newer version exists.
